LG Fancy

Lg Fancy lives up to its name. What an exceptionally beautiful animal! You can only dream of such animals. LG Fancy is dark brown with white specks all over her body. When she was born you would say she was black. But looks are deceiving. She is Parker Brown. An exceptionally beautiful color that is not often seen in Texas Longhorns, but is therefore very popular. In summer her skin is brown with a golden sheen, in winter she is darker. She has huge horns for her age. Unlike her mother and grandmother, they do not grow upwards but sideways from her head. The points curl up nicely.

She got the color explosion from her sire Sequential X Star. He was bred by Viggo Mortensen in Denmark. It is a beautiful strong tricolor mostly dark brown bull. He leans towards black. He also has lighter brown striped / brindle spots and the white of the hip has black brown spots. He passes these beautiful colors on to the next generation.

Since 2015, he has held the record horn length at 1 year of age in Europe. 36.2 inches = 92 cm. He took over from his full brother Dirk's Viper, who has held the European record of 35 inch T2T = 88.9 cm since 2014. Sequential X Star's large horns are laterally shaped. This means that they stand straight from its head with the tip slightly turned up. To get a large span = T2T (Tip to Tip) of the horns, this is the ideal horn setting.

He was bought as an embryo by Viggo Mortensen from Darlene Aldridge, owner of Star Creek Ranch in Texas, America. Her company ranks among the top Texas Longhorn breeders in America.

Her dam is Strait Lightning. She is a large mostly red cow. She undoubtedly got this from her sire Dirk's red bull. In white she does have the same small spots, the roan pattern, as her dam. The horns are also a copy of her dam. Long with the tips bent upwards and pointing slightly outward at the end. Granddam AA Late night Model is a jet black cow. The black in the pedigree always reappears somewhere in the following generations. This time in combination with Sequential X Star it worked out really well.

We bought LG Fancy as a young animal because she can add a lot to our herd. We look forward to seeing her offspring.
