Most dreams are deceptions, but sometimes they come true !

Finally I have the genetics on our farm De Longhorn Ranch, from the bull that was high on my wish list. When we visited Darol Dickinson's compagny in America for the first time in 2007, my mouth fell openin surprise. I saw DRAG IRON live. It really intrigued me that breeding these special color combinations was possible within Texas Longhorn breeding. In 2010 and 1019 we were again guests of the Dickinson family. This time we saw offspring of this bull and my interest was aroused even more. The cow that stuck on my retina was IRON QUEEN. What a beauty! Coincidentally, embryos out of her been exported to Europe with RODEO MAX  as sire. He is five times WORLD CHAMPION. A very nice bull was bred out of this embryo. MR RUSTY IRON. A customer of mine , from the Netherlands, was looking for a Texas Longhorn cow. I was able to mediate thee young cow ANNA BOLEYN, pregnant by MR RUSTY IRON, came to the Netherlands. Her bull calf BILLY THE KID was born in the Netherlands. He weighted 40 kg, wich is quite a weight for a Texas Longhorn calf. He immediately grew like cabbage. His horns shot like a rocket from his head and the brindle patern was soon visible. At one year his horns were 37.4 inches = 95 cm. The agreement was that he would come to our place as a young bull.He is now the boss of our herd. On the pictures he is 28 months old, had huge parallel horns, lots of muscle and what a beautiful color! Red, white, black,brindle, roan and spotted. What else do you want? An axcellent pedegree? Hehas that too. 

Dam is ANNA BOLEYN an UNLIMITED daughter. Sire is MR RUSTY IRON, a RODEO MAX son out of IRON QUEEN. And her sire is the unsurpassed DRAG IRON . A Texas Longhorn legend that every breeder wants in his herd.Recently passes away at the age of 15, but what a lot did this bull has done to the breed! Watch him at his own page. You will enjoy it!
