Sophisticated Stars in Style

Sophisticated Stars in Style is a special cow. She showed her great class at the 2011 TLBAA Horn Showcase in Fort Worth, TX. During this show she won all the prizes that could be won in her category. Sophisticated Stars in Style won First in Total Horn, First in Tip to Tip and First in Composite.

Darlene Aldridge, of Star Creek Ranch, is the breeder and owner of her. On this show she received the award: Breeder of the year. This award is a reward for many successful years of breeding at a high level. Few Texas Longhorn breeders are allowed to receive this award.

Sophisticated Stars in Style is a strong long cow with beautiful twisted horns. She looks a lot like her mother but she is even more powerful and has bigger horns. She is also a real brood cow. She has several male and female offspring. The males are proven bulls on other farms. This indicates that she breeds well in both the male and female line. This is special. Her sire Starbase Commander undoubtedly contributed to this. This bull was also bred by Darlene herself. Makes it all even more special.

Viggo Mortensen, owner of Circle M Farm in Denmark,  bought embryos out of Sophisticated Stars in Style.  The sire was X Star. CMF T-Bone,  born in 2016,  was one of the result of this mating. We have two daughters from him on our farm. CMF MY OH Me and CMF Confetti. His full sisther is sold to Germany. We also see his sire X Star in the pedigree of our proven bull Alejandro and in our Sequential Star daughter LG Fancy.

Sophisticated Stars in Style is the last daughter of the great cow Me Oh My Style, a fabulous Dixie Joker daughter that measured 74″ tip to tip of twisty horn. Me Oh My Style won the TLBAA Horn Showcase Twisty Horn Competition the first year it was held. This cow’s nickname is Sophie. Sophie has passed the 100″ mark of total horn and is now well over 80″ TTT also. Wow! Sophie’s first daughter, Cosmopolitan Star, is a wonderful brood cow with tremendous twist to her horns also. We sold Sophie’s second heifer at the H-V Sale in 2016. Sophie’s third heifer, Star for the Seasons, is sired by Star Regard and already over 80″ TTT also. She recently joined John and Lauren Clark’s herd. Both her 2017 and 2018 bulls are serving as herd sires. In 2019 Sophie had a stout bull sired by Sam Chex that will also be serving as a herd sire. She has a very nice heifer, Novelty of Stars, also sired by Sam Chex. Sophie is confirmed pregnant to Patriot HR for her next calf.  (Picture taken 07/20/2019)
